After the 21st round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa Lech Poznan has 36 points on their account and that result places the team third in the league. Legia is the current leader with 39 points, while Slask is second, only one point short from the team from Warsaw. The difference between the leader and the fifth place (Wisla Cracow) is only 6 points! Things will get even more interesting before the final round when each team will have their result divided by two.
"Indeed the situation is interesting," said Lech's defender, Tomasz Kedziora. "We decreased the gap between us and Legia. I believe we haven't yet shown what we are truly capable of. Now we will play a game once per three days so gradually we will get into the rhythm and our form will get better."
Lech Poznan is still the leader in the fair play classification ahead of Piast Gliwice and Gornik Leczna. Legia Warsaw and Korona Kielce occupy places at the other end of the ranking.
