Dariusz Dudka signed a 3-year long contract with Lech Poznan. Coach Skorza described the former player of Wisla Cracow as a versatile, experienced fighter, who is skilled in defense.
The former representative of Poland will be one of the most experienced players among Lech's squad. The footballer appeared on the Polish pitches 216 times and he even had the chance to represent clubs from Ligue 1, Primera Division and Championship.
"I used to work with Darek in both Wisla and Amica. However, to me what counts the most is his experience gathered from playing abroad, especially in France," said Lechs coach. "In the previous season he played as a defensive midfielder and as a defender - both on in the center and on the wings. Such a versatile and mature footballer can be very useful in the context of the upcoming qualifications for the European cups."
Dudka is said to be a strong personality who is capable of uplifting the team in its weakest moments. "I talked to the chairman and the coach. They both want to have a player with a strong character in their squad and I believe that this is who I am," said Lech's recent signing.
"This is what Lech is meant to be," explained Karol Klimczak, Lech's chairman. "We want the team to be a mix of experience and youth which will guarantee unforgettable moments for the fans. Dariusz Dudka is supposed to be a lean-on for the younger footballers who are currently playing good football, but are still in the process of maturing football-wise."
