Lech Poznan failed to leave the last place in the league rank. The Polish Champions return from Cracow after being beaten 2:5. Hamalainen got the two goals for the team from Poznan.
The fans were hoping that the recent series of failures of the team from Poznan would end in Cracow, but in the 32nd minute they were proven otherwise. Hamalainen lost the ball in the midfield to Kapustka and Cracovia's player had no trouble sending the ball past Gostomski. 2 minutes later Kedziora made a terrible mistake in defense when he passed the ball straight the rival. Rakels was left unmarked and he placed the ball in the net successfully, too. The two goals conceded did not seem enough convincing to Lech because the defense line from Poznan kept on making fatal errors. Gostomski sent the ball right by the feet of Jendrisk and the goalkeeper had to put some effort in order to make up for his mistake and save the shot of the Slovak player. Arajuuri made a dangerous error soon afterwards when he attempted to help in the offensive and lost the ball to Dabrowski. However, the latter's shot from a distance wasn't on target.
After 20 minutes of horrible playing the Polish Champions finally began attacking successfully. Nonetheless, despite a few goal-scoring opportunities, Lech's players weren't efficient. In the meantime Cracovia caused trouble through counterattacks. One of such actions ended with the referee's whistle when Rakels fell in the penalty area. Cetnarski converted the penalty kick into a goal and the score changed yet again.
Lech made two changes at halftime and both Jevtic and Ceesay appeared on the pitch, yet it was Cracovia that kept dominating the game. Kapustka and Rakels both had a chance to score, but fortunately for Lech they failed to place the ball in the net. Lech attacked too, but they failed to convert the chances into a goal as well. Finally in the 56th minute Pawlowski dribbled past one of the defending player, sent the ball to Hamalainen and the Finnish player redirected it into the net. The goal drastically changed the play and the team from Poznan started gaining control over the play. Cracovia made mistakes in the defense, but Lech failed to exploit them. The wasted chances took revenge on the Polish Champions and Gostomski was forced to take the ball out of the net for the fourth time when Jendrisk gave him no chance to save the shot.
The match became more balanced and soon the fans gathered at the stadium witnessed an exhilarating exchange of punches. Pawlowski shone with his individual runs, however those actions did not bring results. Sandomierski intervened well, but Cracovia's offensive was any worse and in the 47th minute they scored the fifth goal. Lech responded immediately and thanks to the goalkeeper's mistake Hamalainen scored the second goal that night. The team from Poznan ended its drought of goals, but the terrible mistakes made by the defense line cost Lech three points and an opportunity to finally start climbing up the league ladder.
