Cracovia – Lech Poznań 2:1

Lech was in trouble since the very first whistle. In the 4^th minute, Cracovia got their first of many goal-scoring opportunities which van Amersfoort converted into a shot. The team from Poznań let Cracovia dominate which enabled the hosts to attack frequently, usually with the help of the left flank where Hanca was positioned. The Romanian forward caused a lot of problems to Lech’s youngster Jakub Kamiński, but in most cases, the latter managed to stop his opponent.

After a series of great offensive actions, Lech finally took control of the match. In the 23^rd minute, previously mentioned Kaminski joined one of Lech’s offensive attempts, raced into the box and passed to Jozwiak. The latter left Cracovia’s goalkeeper helpless with his flat and strong shot. Following the opening goal, Lech was determined to make the score even better for them. In the 36^th minute, Satka and Ramirez built a great offensive action. The Spaniard – for whom the clash with Cracovia was a debut – sent a great pass to Gytkjaer, however, the Dane failed to beat the keeper in a one-on-one clash.

In the second half, Lech had little reasons to be happy. Shortly after the referee resumed the match, Pestka beat van der Hart effortlessly, changing the score to 1:1. The equalizer was a motivational boost for the hosts and within 20 minutes, they managed to score again. This time, Rogne’s foul in the box resulted in a penalty for Cracovia which Hanca easily converted into a goal. Despite Lech’s efforts, the squad from Poznan failed to catch up and they had to accept their first loss of 2020.
