Mohammad Awwad is leaving Lech Poznań. The loan agreement between the Polish club and Maccabi Haifa included a clause enabling the two sides to terminate the deal in the winter transfer and the Israeli team decided to take advantage of that clause.
That same day when Lech and Maccabi reached an agreement on terminating Awwad's loan, the 23-year-old flew back to Israel. The two clubs finalised all paperwork, hence the Israeli forward is most likely going to represent Maccabi in the upcoming spring round.
Awwad joined Lech in summer 2020. He made 16 appearances for the senior team and two for the reserves. Throughout his stay in Poznań, he found the back of the net twice - against Cracovia (1:1) in the league and Znicz Pruszków (3:2) in the round of 32 of the Fortuna Polish Cup.
