Jakub Antczak will be representing Odra Opole next season. The 19-year-old winger has been loaned to the second-tier club for the upcoming campaign, with the option to return in the winter transfer window.
The youngster has been training with the senior team for a while now. In the 2021/2022 season, he made one appearance in PKO BP Ekstraklasa – against Termalica Bruk-Bet Nieciecza (5:0). In the last campaign, Antczak spent a bit over 15 minutes on the pitch in the clash against Cracovia (3:0). However, the young winger has been getting more minutes in Lech’s B-team – over the past two seasons, he made 48 appearances in the eWinner 2. Liga, scored 4 goals and got 9 assists.
“Kuba needs regular playing time in senior football, on a higher level than the third tier. Hence the decision to loan him to a second-division Odra Opole – a club where our youth players have gathered key experience in the past. That was the case with Jakub Moder, as well as Maksymilian Pingot who spent the spring at Odra. We are hoping Kuba will take the same path as he joins Odra on a one-year loan with the option of return in the winter transfer window,” explained Lech’s Sporting Director, Tomasz Rząsa.
