Korona's recent season
The start of the last season cannot be described as a good one when referring to Korona Kielce - Tarasiewicz's team won a single point in 7 league games. Korona finished the autumn round in the relegation zone, a point above the pre-last Ruch Chorzow. However, in spring the team from Kielce performed much better and since the beginning of 2015 they went unbeaten for 7 matches in a row. Nonetheless, it was not enough for Korona to rejoice after the 30th round and avoid relegation from the champions' play-offs. When the season came to an end, the team from Kielce was placed 11th in the league.
Korona's squad
Multiple changes have been made in Korona's squad throughout the summer. Tarasiewicz was replaced by Marcin Brosz, the former coach of Piast Gliwice. In addition, many players that defined Korona's strength in the previous season, moved to new clubs. Korona's former captain, Pawel Golanski is now representing the Romanian ASA Targu Mures, while the winger Jacek Kielb will be playing for Slask Wroclaw from now on. Moreover, Olivier Kapo and Luis Carlos are no longer a part of the team from Kielce, too.
However, a few new players joined the squad, as well. Among them are: Vladislavs Gabovs (the former player of the Russian third-league club called Sokol Saratov), Rafal Grzelak, Michal Przybyla (who spent the recent spring in the reserves' team), goalkeeper Dariusz Trela and the former player of Wisla Cracow, Tomasz Zajac.
Korona's performance away from home
Only twice in last season's autumn round Korona collected all three points when playing on the rivals' home ground. The two away matches they've won have been played in Chorzow and Gdansk. In the spring round Korona's away performances weren't any better the team from Kielce won solely twice. When it comes to the goals scored when playing away from home, Korona wasn't at the top either - they have scored only 16 times.
Korona in the current season
Korona kicked-off season 2015/16 really well. With Brosz as their new leader, the team from Kielce won the first two league matches and only in the third game did they lose 1:2 at home. In the first two rounds Korona beat Jagiellonia 3:2 and Zaglebie Lubin 2:0.
Surprisingly, the 21 year-old Michal Przybyl became the new leader of the team from Kielce - the young player has already scored 3 times in the league matches.
Lech vs Korona
The two teams faced each at INEA Stadium 11 times. In 9 of those games Lech turned out to be the better team and twice the two sides had to share points. In addition, Lech is also dominating in the aspect of goal ratio - 19:3.
