Poznan won only 6 out of 17 league games this season. Nevertheless, with two games left in the autumn round, the team from Poznan still has a chance to end the year in the top 3.
"We want to confirm our good form from the last game in the upcoming two matches. We will try to collect maximum points and then we will see where we are in the table. Winning 6 points in the last two games is the most important thing," said Tomasz Kedziora, Lech's defender.
At the moment Kolejorz occupies the 6th place. The team is 9 points behind the current leader Legia Warsaw. However, Lech needs only 3 points to catch up with Wisla Krakow and Slask Wroclaw who are right behind the team from capital. Maciej Skorza and his players will face the White Star on Sunday. If they win in Cracow, they will overhaul their rivals in the table.
Gornik Zabrze and Jagiellonia Bialystok have 2 points more on their account than Lech. The two teams will face each other in the last game of the autumn round. If this game ends with a draw, the team from Poznan will pass two obstacles at the same time and will take a place on the podium.
"The table is pretty dense. A single win can mean going up the rank. I believe the top 3 is possible. If we win the two remaining games then we will be in a great situation ahead of the holidays," said Lech's midfielder, Kasper Hamalainen.
Completing all 6 points is necessary for Lech to aim for the top 3 at the end of the autumn round. For sure Lech is capable of a win in Cracow, with Wisla and at home, with Lechia. However, there is one condition - the team has to play the way they did in the last league game, with Gornik.
