For Sergiusz Prusak every match against Lech is of great importance. The 35 year-old goalkeeper admits that off the pitch he is a big fan of the team from Poznan.
Sergiusz Prusak was born in Pleszew located around 100km away from Poznan and that's where his adventure with football began. Although he never got the chance to represent Lech on the pitch, he emphasizes that he's a loyal supporter of the club. "Lech has a piece of my heart. I never denied the fact that I support this team. When I was a child I used to go to their games. Nowadays I have no time to do that, but I keep track of Lech's results," said Prusak. "I hope that at the end of the season Lech will have won the two trophies. I wish Lech would finally cut Legia down to size."
On Sunday the goalkeeper will get a chance to play against his beloved team for the second time this season. Prusak says that during the match sentiment is put aside and the only thing that counts is his own team winning. "Currently I represent Gornik Leczna and collecting all three points is what counts in this match. It's been a long time since we last won at home and we have to change that," added Prusak. "Winning against Lech is realistic. Everything depends upon us, our attitude and how we play the game. Nonetheless, we know where our place is. In most cases the first year for an expansion team is a fight for retention. However, we still have a chance to qualify for the top 8 and we will do our best to succeed."
