Kasper Hamalainen and Paulus Arajurri went for the March grouping of the Finnish National Team. The players led by coach Paatelainen will face Northern Ireland in Belfast (March 29th) as a part of the qualifications for Euro 2016. Since the qualifications for the upcoming European tournament began, Hamalainen has been a regular starter, while Paulus Arajuuri has just returned to the National Team. After the 4 rounds Finland has collected only 4 points and it's occupying the 4th position with a 6-point loss to Romania, which is the leader. Northern Ireland won 9 points and is currently placed second in Group F.
On Sunday (March 29th) the Hungarians will play a qualifying game in Budapest with Greece. Because of an injury Gergo Lovrencsics won't be able to play against the Greeks. As per regulations the winger had to go for the grouping, however the National Team medical staff decided it was better if the player continued the recovery in Poznan. It has been the first time that Tamas Kadar was called up for the National Team since he became Lech's players. Until now the defender has represented the country 20 times. Hungary has collected 7 points in the last 4 rounds and they are currently placed third in Group F. They lost their first qualifying game with Northern Ireland in Belfast (1:2), drew with Romania (1:1), and then won the following games with Faroe Islands (1:0) and Finland (1:0).
Lech's left back, Luis Henriquez, was called up for his National Team's March grouping. The Panamanian squad led by coach Gomez will first face Trinidad and Tobago (March 27th), and four days later they will play at home with Costa Rica. The 33 year-old defender played his last national game in November against Canada. Overall, Henriquez has represented Panama on the pitch 72 times.
Lech's winger Dariusz Formella has been called up for Polish U-20 team ahead of the game with Germany in the Four Nations Tournament. Recently the 19 year-old has been regularly called up by coach Dorna. In the autumn game against Switzerland Formella scored a goal. Until now the Polish under-20 team has collected 10 points in 5 games in the tournament and that result places them first in the table. A beneficial result against Germany (March 27th) will guarantee them a win in the tournament.
Three homegrown players of Lech Poznan - Jan Bednarek, Dawid Kownacki and Jakub Serafin - will get another chance to play for the U-19 Polish National Team led by coach Janas. The Polish youngsters will face Georgia in a two-leg sparing game (28th and 30th of March) in the Turkish Belek. However, Kownacki was forced to stay in Poznan due to a flu. The young Poles are also preparing for the qualifications for the European Championships. The U-19 National Team will play qualifying games with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Ukraine. Only the winner of the tournament will qualify to the European Championships.
